Words and words are all we have......

One of the most important landmarks for human development is the invention of language. There are about 7099 languages spoken in the world. Have you ever imagined how mesmerizing it is that every language has its own set of letters, and those letters come together to make words? Those words make everything else. The captivating stories we listen to and read, the love and sadness we express, every emotion we want to share or write need words, a whole lot of them!

You must have observed words can bring an immense change in one's life. Words can make someone merry or gloomy, motivate or discourage, excite or depress, cause confusion or certainty, and much more. Hence, never underestimate the power of words. Always think before you speak. As your words can make or break a life.

When I was a kid, my grandfather used to say now and then to me: 

“कमान से निकला तीर और मुंह से निकली बात वापस नहीं आती|”

(English Translation: The arrow from the command and the words that came out of mouth does not come back.)

Always speak when you are sure. Powerless they may seem, words are like the chemicals of a potion, when mixed, they can build or destroy.

To conclude, I would add one Sant Kabir’s verse:

ऐसी वाणी बोलिए, मन का आपा खोये।

औरन को शीतल करे, आपहुं शीतल होए।।

(English translation: Speak in such a voice that softens the heart of the listener as well as ours and makes everyone merrier).
