That one moment!

It was a regular monsoon day. It was raining heavily since night. It was 7.30 am in the morning and I was in the kitchen. I had just finished packing my six year old son's school lunch. I went to check on him. His father was getting him ready for school as usual and he asked me to bring his milk. 

It was almost his bus time and I rushed to kitchen to bring his milk. We have electricity pole just outside our kitchen window which looks somewhat like this:

The window of the kitchen was open as usual. The moment I entered the kitchen there was a momentary explosion (short circuit that was, I think) on the electricity pole that looked somewhat like this:

I yelped on this quick shocker. Though nothing happened (thankfully), my husband and son came running to the kitchen. My husband asked me  is everything alright? I told him, pointing to the pole, nothing happened, just something blew up there. He said it is normal in rainy season and went off to his business. 

But my son waited for me. I was still looking at the pole. I asked him to drink the milk and go downstairs to catch the bus. However, in that moment he was worried only about me and lingered on to see if I was doing fine? He asked me repeatedly whether I was okay? He did not care whether he will miss his only breakfast (milk) before going to school. He stood near me and waited for me. This was pure love. He made me feel special. He made me realise all the hope is not lost. He was my parent in that moment. The kind of care and love he showed me made me feel special, very special.These small everyday moments make me feel the journey is fun too. Everyday my both the kids make me feel more and more content on being on the journey.

The mind tricks they play!

Some time back, I brought Horlicks for my son, and with it came a free pack of "Avengers Infinity Wars- Super Hero cards'. I and my son loved playing the cards game. The cards looked like this: (Src: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/b6ijhm/my_infinity_war_not_so_limited_edition_trading/ ) Each playing card has certain characteristics. They are (in order): Height, Intelligence, Strength, Speed, Super-Power. A number was assigned in front of each attribute on each card.  Let us take a close look at one of the cards: This card game made my lockdown life a little easier as I could keep my child engaged for about an hour in a day.
